Southern Sri Lanka Escape – 4 Days / 3 Nights

• Arrival pickup from Bandaranaike Airport, Colombo, or Negombo
• Optional early visit: Madu Ganga River Safari — a serene mangrove boat tour (subject to arrival time)
• Relax or enjoy water sports at Bentota Beach
• Visit the Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery to learn about conservation efforts and see sea turtles up close
• Scenic coastal drive to Galle, Sri Lanka’s UNESCO World Heritage fortified city
• Check-in and overnight stay in Galle

Note: Hikkaduwa can replace Bentota if snorkeling is preferred, but it’s advisable not to overload Day 1.

• Morning exploration of Galle Dutch Fort and Old City, rich with colonial history and vibrant cafes
• Optional visit to the National Maritime Museum showcasing Sri Lanka’s seafaring heritage
• Visit the tranquil Japanese Peace Pagoda offering panoramic coastal views
• Leisure time at Unawatuna Beach with an optional short visit to the secluded Jungle Beach
• Transfer to Mirissa or Weligama for overnight stay

• Early morning whale watching cruise (departing 5:30–6:00 AM) — one of the best places in the world to see blue whales and dolphins
• Visit scenic Coconut Tree Hill and the iconic Parrot Rock for stunning photo opportunities
• Relax on Mirissa Beach or choose optional activities such as snorkeling or surfing based on time and preference
• Visit the famous Stilt Fishermen near Koggala — a unique traditional fishing method
• Overnight stay in Mirissa or Weligama

Note: We’ve skipped safari activities on this day due to the long travel time—but if you're keen, you can add a Udawalawe or Yala safari. Just keep in mind it’ll need some good time planning to fit everything in smoothly.

• After breakfast, depart Mirissa/Weligama for Colombo (approx. 2.5–3 hours)
• Colombo city highlights tour (time permitting):
  • Gangaramaya Temple — an eclectic Buddhist temple blending modern and traditional architecture
  • Independence Square — a national monument commemorating Sri Lanka’s independence
  • Lotus Tower — view the iconic telecommunications tower from outside (entry requires pre-arrangement)
  • Pettah Market and Red Mosque — lively bazaars and historic sites
  • Shopping opportunities if requested
• Drop-off at Bandaranaike International Airport, Colombo hotels, or Negombo
